KBMS Power Outage 08.23.2023

Aug 23, 2023

Dear Kepner Beacon Parents,

We are contacting you regarding a power outage at our school today, Wednesday, August 23rd. Earlier this morning, parts of our building lost power, resulting in no access to air conditioning, limited lighting in some classrooms, and no access to the cafeteria for lunch service.

For this reason, we are allowing an early dismissal at 10:30am. Please note students will remain in their first period classes until dismissal or until you provide the school permission to release your child. This will allow us to best coordinate supervision and student safety while the power issue is being resolved. Students will be provided sack lunches to eat in their first period classrooms.

If you would like to pick up your child early due to the power outage, please call the school office at 720-424-0027 or 720-424-0091 or come to the main office to sign your child out. Otherwise, all students will remain on campus unless we have direct permission from a parent or guardian listed on the emergency contact form.

We apologize for the disruption and inconvenience. Our maintenance staff is working diligently to restore power as quickly as possible. Please call or email me directly if you have any questions or concerns. Thank you for your patience and understanding.

Sincerely,

Alex Magäna
Executive Principal
Dan Walsh
KBMS Principal
